Call RightWay Remodeling When
You Want the Job Done Right
By K.H. Queen, Virginia Gazette
After hearing constantly about contractors who wouldn’t
return calls, others who didn’t show up, and others
lacking in quality workmanship, Jonathan “J.C.”
and Gina Bunker knew there was a need for quality professional
remodelers in the area.
The Bunkers founded RightWay Remodeling in 2005 with the
philosophy that they would make sure all jobs were done right.
The company logo is Getting the Job Done the RightWay.
“RightWay Remodeling is not just our name, it’s
our promise,” Gina Bunker said. “If you’re
not going to do the job the right way, do not do it at all.
We try to make everyone happy by doing things the right way.
If we don’t keep our customers happy then someone else
will.”
RightWay Remodeling, a class A contractor, who backs its
name and exceptional commitment to quality with long-lasting,
durable materials and a two-year warranty. The company offers
a detailed contract to ensure that customers fully understand
the scope of each job. And RightWay Remodeling’s commitment
to service includes having someone answer the telephone 24
hours a day just in case there’s a need.
“We can’t take care of our clients if we’re
not available all the time,” The Bunkers said.
RightWay Remodeling is a full-service remodeler with jobs
ranging from $150 up to $150,000 and up. Some of RightWays’
first remodeling contracts included a lot of screened porches
and sunrooms.
“Screened in porches and sunrooms are really popular
in Virginia because of the beautiful climate.” Mrs.
Bunker said.
RightWay Remodeling’s portfolio of fine work also includes
kitchens, bathrooms, second story additions, full house renovations,
handyman services and more.
The Bunker family has created a business based on their Christian
faith that offers the best of both worlds. First, there’s
the hometown, family feel, quality local workers and low overhead
.
RightWay Remodeling treats its carpenters well and that good
treatment leads to higher customer satisfaction.
“We feel very strongly about this,” Mrs. Bunker
said. “You need to treat your employees the way you
would want to be treated. If your employees aren’t happy,
the clients aren’t going to be happy. If we keep our
employees happy, then they love their job and they love RightWay.
They’re going to go to that job and give 110 percent
and the client is happy.”
“Some local remodeling companies have a lot of overhead
and their costs are out of reach for many,” Mrs. Bunker
said.
RightWay Remodeling keeps administrative expenses to a minimum
and passes those savings onto clients.
“We offer exceptional prices because we keep our costs
in perspective with out the high overhead costs. Our prices
are not the lowest in town but they are not the highest. We
are right in the middle and that’s where we want to
be.”
But at the same time, RightWay Remodeling offers high standards
of professionalism and takes advantage of the latest computer
technology to improve quality and service. Mrs. Bunker has
a Master of Business Administration and ran her own company
for eight years.
In addition, Jonathan Bunker has more than 20 years of construction
experience in custom building, remodeling, commercial building
and fine custom millwork. He also possesses a vast knowledge
in production management. “Together we make an exceptional
team,” the Bunkers said “Our primary goal is the
quality and commitment of fine carpentry we can offer to our
customers at honest prices.”
Where the company excels is in quality work and service.
Bunker’s connections in the trades helped them hire
the top lead carpenters in the area.
“You have people who say they’re lead carpenters
and they’re not, you must possess a vast range of knowledge
to be a lead carpenter as well as years of experience,”
Mrs. Bunker said. “The carpenters who work for us have
been in the remodeling industry for numerous years and they
come highly qualified. The remodeling industry is struggling
for good workers and here at RightWay Remodeling we have them.
Our carpenters are all lead carpenters with at least ten years
of experience and we expect them to own their jobs. Our clients
have access to their RightWay carpenter at all times. People
appreciate being kept up to date with what’s going on.
Our carpenters and other workmen treat every client as if
that client were the only client. Our business is not about
the money. It’s about keeping our customers happy and
keeping them as repeat customers.”
Speaking of happy clients, RightWay Remodeling has a growing
list of them.
Lisa and Fred Lee of upper James City have called on RightWay
Remodeling for several jobs, including adding a deck and patio
as well as rewiring and changing out light fixtures. The Lees
appreciated employees’ professionalism, friendliness,
promptness and attention to detail.
“They did an outstanding job,” Lisa Lee said.
“It went very smoothly and we’ve gotten quite
a few compliments. They’re Christian and they have a
Christian attitude. They go out of their way to do a great
job and make sure you’re happy with the work. When we
call them to do miscellaneous jobs, they do their best to
get us fitted in very quickly.”
Susan Woodstock Tisdale has contracted with RightWay Remodeling
for several projects, the most recent being a custom seating
area for her eat-in kitchen.
“I can’t say enough good things about RightWay
Remodeling,
Tisdale said. “We have been using their service for
years and are always impressed with the level of professionalism
and customer service. The craftsmanship exceeded our expectations.
They stuck to their production schedule, always showed up
on time and were extremely courteous and accommodating. They
return calls quickly and are such nice people! RightWay is
currently under contract for shed stabilization and window
replacement projects, and while we have to wait a few weeks
to be fitted into their schedule, it’s well worth it.
It’s hard to find trustworthy, qualified contractors
in Williamsburg. I’m so glad that we have J.C, Gina,
and their qualified staff to call on. They are truly good
people who I will continue to recommend to others.”
